Reservations are a contract between MHHP & the person named on the reservation and are not transferable to any other person without management consent. i.e. the named person must occupy the site/cabin for the duration of  the contract & is ultimately responsible for all occupants.

Infants are 0 - 23 Months of Age 

Children are 2 - 14 Years of Age

Adults are 15 Years and Older

Check in is from 2pm in cabins an 11am on sites. Check out is 10am for all guests. On arrival please check in at office before entering park.

A deposit is required to confirm your reservation. Balance of account is payable on arrival & must be for the full time booked. No reduction for early departure or late arrival. Minimum stay/tariff applies at peak times. Peak times include 20th December – 1st February, Easter Weekend & Labour Weekend.

Deposit for bookings cancelled within 10 days of arrival will be forfeited unless cabin/site can be re-let for full time booked, less $20 administration fee. No refund for early departure and No refund for cancellations during peak times. Peak times include 20th December – 1st February, Easter Weekend & Labour Weekend.

Visitors must check in at the office prior to entering the park. Visitors vehicles are not permitted in the campgrounds. A visitor is a person who is not staying the night & must vacate the park by 10pm, unless registered as a guest and fees paid for length of stay. The siteholder is responsible for visitors & guests while they are in the park. Remember, your guests must pay before they stay, not as they leave! Failure to pay is dishonest and will be treated accordingly.

Caravans/tents must be sited as directed by management or staff. No ropes on trees, hedges or electrical outlets. You must be confined within the marked boundaries. Drawbars must face roadways. More than one tent may occupy site, provided there is a 3 metre gap between tent/caravan on adjoining sites. Should sites be vacated prior to reservation term, we reserve the right to re allocate the site.

Fires or braziers are not permitted in camp/reserve areas including the beach. Fireworks are only permitted on the beach facing out to sea and not after 10pm. All tents/caravans must be placed on site to give a 3 metre gap from those on adjoining sites, excluding drawbars, ropes etc. Caravans & campervans must display a current electrical warrant of fitness & comply with LPG standard (NZS5426.1996). You must also supply your own waste water container.  Please do not let waste water run on the ground. Tents wanting to connect to power supply must have an approved isolating transformer or RCD safety switch & reyrolle plug. Our power supply is 16A. 

No generators are to be used on the Reserve except for emergencies or contractual use.

A maximum of 5 litres of fuel is permitted on site & must be stored in a regulatory compliant container.  Please ensure all gas bottles are in current hydro-test survey. Please familiarise yourselves with the camp evacuation plan.

Parents/caregivers are responsible for their children’s safety at all times. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult when using toilet/shower facilities. Parental control is expected at all times. In consideration to other guests, children are not to be roaming the grounds unsupervised between 10.30pm – 7am.

Bikes, skateboards and scooters are not permitted in or around amenity areas for safety reasons. Helmets to be worn when riding bikes & not to be ridden after 9pm. No motorbikes, motocross bikes, quads or motorised scooters are to be ridden in camp or on beach.

The playground is out of bounds from dusk – 7am.

To ensure all guests have a great holiday, we expect common sense & consideration to be shown at all times to all people. The management reserves the right to refuse entry and remove from the premises any person who, in their opinion, does not conduct themselves in a decent and reasonable manner. No refund will be given in such circumstances. Complete quietness must be observed from 10.30pm – 7am. Electronic or musical equipment must be kept at low volume at all times.

Alcohol is not permitted in any of the amenity areas.

All camp buildings/amenities are smokefree.

The kitchen is to be used as intended. It is not a recreation room. Benches are not for sitting or sleeping/relaxing on. If you rely on iPods, phones, PlayStations etc, please ensure you book a powered site. There is to be no playing of electronic devices in the kitchen.

Rubbish bins are for domestic table waste only and collected by refuse collectors. They will not take large items i.e. BBQ's, gazebo frames, tent poles etc. These must be removed by the guests themselves.

Water is metered in the camp, thus no wastage please. Water bombs/balloons are prohibited for safety reasons. Water pistols not to be filled or used inside amenities blocks.

All the water around the park is safe to drink. 

Our sewerage system only copes with human waste and toilet paper being flushed down toilets. Please use receptacle provided for all sanitary items and rubbish bag for nappies, wipes etc.

Sorry, campers or visitors are not permitted to have animals or pets in the park (in or out of vehicles) at any time.

Only one vehicle per site is permitted. No parking on or in front of empty sites or driveways.  Extra vehicles must be parked outside the camp gates. No visitors vehicles in campground.

The speed limit is 10KPH = walking pace. Watch for children! Pedestrians have right of way. Speed or dangerous driving could result in your car being denied entry.

Boats & trailers must be parked in boat parking area on the South Side, accessible via North Street into Alimar Cresent.

The Kaipara District Council or Park management shall not be held responsible for the loss, theft or damage of any property for any reason, regardless of the cause. This includes any fault pertaining to any fitting, appliance or piece of apparatus within the vicinity of the campground.

For Police, Fire or Ambulance, dial 111,then notify camp management. If the fire siren sounds in town – please don’t be alarmed, this is an alert for our local volunteer firefighters only. In the unlikely event of a Civil Defence siren, staff will advise you of the evacuation process. For an emergency after hours, please dial 09 4314676 or press the intercom by the office door to contact management. 

For urgent matters after hours, please dial 09 431 4675 to obtain onsite manager or press the intercom at the office door

Gates will be locked at 10.30pm and reopened at 6.30am. If you need to use your car outside these times, please ensure your vehicle is parked outside the gates.
