Kia ora and welcome to Mangawhai Heads Holiday Park. We are so pleased you have chosen to stay with us while enjoying the beauty this region has to offer.  To ensure all our guests have an enjoyable time here, we would like you to observe our conditions of occupancy.

 

Reservations are a contract between MHHP & the person named on the reservation and are not transferable to any other person without management consent. i.e. the named person must occupy the site/cabin for the duration of  the contract & is ultimately responsible for all occupants.

Check in; From 1pm in cabins, 11am on sites.  Check out; 10am. On arrival please check in at office before entering park.

Deposit; A deposit is required to confirm your reservation. Balance of account is payable on arrival & must be for the full time booked. No reduction for early departure or late arrival. Minimum  stay/tariff apply at peak times i.e. Easter, Labour weekend & 20th Dec. – 1st Feb.

Cancellation; Deposit for bookings cancelled within 10days of arrival will be forfeited unless cabin/site can be relet for full time booked, less $20 administration fee. No refund for early departure. No refund for cancellations during peak times (see above).

Visitors must check in at the office prior to entering the park. Visitors vehicles are not permitted in the campgrounds. A visitor is a person who is not staying the night & must vacate the park by 10.pm, unless registered as a guest and fees paid for length of stay. Siteholder is responsible for visitor’s & guests  while they are in the holiday park. Remember your guests PAY BEFORE THEY STAY, not as they leave!! Failure to pay is dishonest and will be treated accordingly.

Campsites; Caravans/tents must be sited as directed by management or staff. No ropes on trees, hedges or electrical outlets & must be confined within the marked boundaries. Drawbars must face roadways. More than one tent may occupy site provided there is 3 metre gap between tent/caravan on adjoining sites. Should sites be vacated prior to reservation term, we reserve the right to re allocate the site.

Fire safety; All tents/caravans must be placed on site to give a 3 metre gap from those on adjoining sites(drawbars, ropes excl.) Fires or braziers not permitted in camp/reserve areas incl. beach. Fireworks only permitted on beach facing out to sea and not after 10pm.Caravans including campervans must display a current electrical warrant of fitness & comply with LPG standard (NZS5426.1996). You must also supply own waste water container.  Please do not let waste water run on the ground.  Tents wanting to connect to power supply, must have an approved isolating transformer or RCD safety switch & reyrolle plug. Our power supply is 16amps. No generators are to be used on the Reserve except for emergencies or contractual use.

A maximum of 5 litres of fuel is permitted on site & must be stored in a regulatory compliant container.  Please ensure all gas bottles are in current hydro-test survey. Familiarise yourselves with the camp evacuation plan.

Children;  parents/caregivers are responsible for their children’s safety at all times. Under 5’s must be accompanied by an adult when using toilet/shower facilities. parental control is expected at all times. In consideration to other guests, children are not to be roaming the grounds unsupervised between 10.30pm – 7am.

Bikes & skateboards ,Scooters; are not permitted in or around amenity areas for safety. Helmets to be worn when riding bikes & not to be ridden after 9pm. No motorbikes,  motocross bikes , quads or motorised scooters  ridden in camp or on beach.

Playground; Is out of bounds from dusk – 7am.

Conduct & noise;  To ensure all guests have a great holiday, we expect commonsense & consideration to be shown at all times to all people.  The management reserves the right to refuse entry and remove from the premises, any person, who in their opinion does not conduct themselves in a decent and reasonable manner. No refund will be given in such circumstances. Complete quietness must be observed from 10.30pm – 7am. Electronic or musical equipment must be kept at low volume at all times.

Alcohol is not permitted in any of the amenity areas.

Smoking; All camp buildings/amenities are smokefree.

Kitchen; Is to be used as intended. Benches are not for sitting or sleeping / relaxing on and is not a recreation room. If you rely on i pods,phones, play stations etc, please ensure you book a powered site. No playing of electronic devices in the kitchen.

Rubbish bins are for domestic table waste only and collected by  refuse collectors. They will not take large items.i.e. BBqs,gazebo frames, tent poles etc. These must be removed by yourselves.

Water;  Water is metered in the camp, thus no wastage please. Water bombs/balloons prohibited for safety reason. Water pistols not to be filled, or used , inside amenities blocks.

Toilets; As our sewerage system only copes with human waste and toilet paper, to be flushed down toilets. Please use receptacle provided for all sanitary items and rubbish bag for nappies, wipes etc.

Animals; Campers or visitors are not permitted to have animals or pets in the camping ground (in or out of vehicles) at any time.

Vehicles/parking; Only one (1) vehicle per site permitted. No parking on or in front of empty sites or driveways.  Extra vehicles must be parked  outside the camp gates. No visitors vehicles in campground.

Speed limit  is TEN (10) KPH= walking pace. Watch for children!! Pedestrians have right of way. Speed or dangerous driving could result in your car being denied entry.

Boats & trailers must be parked  in Boat parking area on southside accessible via North street into Alimar Cres.

Property damage; the Kaipara District Council or camp management shall not be held responsible for the loss, theft or damage of any property for any reason, regardless of the cause, including any fault pertaining to any fitting, applicant or piece of apparatus within the vicinity of the campground.

Emergency; For police, Fire or Ambulance dial 111. Notify camp management. If the Fire siren sounds in town – please don’t be alarmed, this is an alert for our local volunteer firefighters only. In the unlikely event of a Civil Defence siren, staff will advise you of the evacuation process.

After hours;  For urgent matters after hours please dial 09 431 4675 to obtain onsite manager.

Gate closing times;  Gates will be locked at 10.30pm and reopened at 6.30am. If you need to use your car outside these times, please ensure your vehicle is parked outside before gate closing.

Payment Policy

22nd Dec - 15th Jan = 7 nights unless there is a gap to be filled of lesser nights,
Auckland Anniversary = 3 nights.
Waitangi weekend = 3 nights.

A 2% credit card fee applies to all transactions paid by credit card. Please refer to our terms & conditions of occupancy.
Payment of deposit deems acceptance of terms & conditions. Please refer to "Policy" section on website.

Cancellation Policy

Deposits for bookings cancelled within 10 days will be fortfeited unless site/cabin can be relet for the full time booked, LESS a $20 administration fee. Cabins booked but not paid for before arrival and cancelled outside our cancellation policy will be charged for full time booked unless we can relet them.
No Refund of deposit for cancellations during peak times. Easter, labour weekend & 20th Dec - 7th February &; booking must be fully paid unless we can relet the site, any balance of unused relet days are to be paid by original hirer plus an administration fee.
No refunds for early departure or late arrival. Non arrival requires full payment of booking.

Child Policy

2 -14 years on sites. 0 - 14yrs in cabins.

While we know you adore your pets,unfortunately they are unable to come with you.
Bookings for the period 26th Dec - end of Jan are open from 1st March each year.
